A Unique Perspective

Like Mother, Like Daughter is the first in a series of episodic books which enhance the storyline of each show. After reading this book, one comes away with more information and insight into the characters, vis a vis what led up to a specific scene and, more importantly, a subjective view of Rory's character and her perspective in any given situation. I applaud the writers for publishing these books! The unique relationship between mother and daughter is fully explored, giving the viewer of the show more insight into the their lives. I would love to see a book written from Lorelai's perspective. What cannot be played out on the show because of time restraints, is wonderfully written in this book as well as "I Love You, You Idiot." I highly recommend fans to read these series of books. They fill in the blanks and replay the dialogue, which enriches the show and its characters. Brava!

Amazing! Gilmore Girls is a Winner!

You cannot go wrong with getting this book... Gilmore Girls is an irresistible, humorous, incredible story of a mother and daughter's lives in a small town. Lorelei Gilmore is a young, hip mom, Rory is her very intelligent, fun daughter, and the quick, comedic quips in their conversations alone is the reason to read this novel. In the book, Lorelei works to get Rory into a special private school, and even has to ask her estranged parents for tuition. Wonderful book!Watch the TV show on WB 20, Tuesdays @ 8pm. This book is based on the first episode in the 1st season-- First season reruns will be running next season on Sunday evenings... Lauren Graham and Alexis Blendel play the two actresses... They are exceptional, talented actresses-- Romance, Comedy, Drama-- This show has it all!

Great, Funny, Very great if u haven't seen the shows

This is a very funny book it basically covers Rory's opinion about the events b/n the first episode to "Forgiveness & Stuff." Since it is Rory's point-of-view the events that happen w/Lorelai and not Rory are not told to you in the book unless Lorelai tells you, then Rory tells you. Plus it tells you what Rory is thinking- which adds some hilarity [and sadness.] The book does leave out some parts e.g. the "Kill Me Now" episode. The book is great if you are a Gilmore Girls fan .. then get it @ the store. But if you have seen all the early episodes and aren't a "every week" fan because it just repeats episodes you have already seen- so get it @ the library but still read it. If you haven't seen these episodes get it & read it!!!! Take my advice this book is like Gilmore Girls to go, you can carry the episodes nearlly everywhere!!!!!!
